He was laughing, when he did, his eyes didn't seem so old, he actually looked like a normal teenage boy. He walked over and took the empty can before slipping in the unopened one. He walked back to the window seat and watched me chug the second one as well.
"How were you changed?" he asked breaking my silence, i stopped mid drink and stared at him slowly placing the can on the bed. "Everybody has a story, and I can tell you weren't born."
"I was on a date, me and my boyfriend had pulled up to the dock to watch the sunset and we started fighting. I was being stupid and jealous, about something that had happened earlier in the night. We didn't notice as something stalked us." A dry sob escaped my throat as i remembered the site, the car covered in blood....his body. "It dragged him out of the car first, tore his throat out and threw him aside as i screamed. If i had stayed silent it wouldn't have noticed me and i could have gotten away..."
He sat there in silence watching me, I don't know weither it was for me to finish or to see what i would do. My fingers gripped my elbows, the nails biting into my elbows. But i didn't feel the pain, i was back there watching him being devoured.
"It dragged me against it's body and bit hard into my neck." my hand covered where his mouth had been and i pulled my knees tight up to my chest, knocking over the empty can in the process. "it kept drinking, i was crying for my parents, for him. For somebody to save me, but nobody came, nobody..."
I put my head between my knees and a few moments later i felt his hand on my back. For a few moments i just let the sorrow take over and he let me sob it out.
