I never fully understood why vampires were different then humans...when I was alive. Now that I am living through all this, I understand it. We don't sleep, we just clear our minds of every thought and shut down all our senses. We even stop breathing too, so if a human were to come across one of us as we 'slept' then it would look like a dead body.
We don't need to eat, but we can. I don't know what happens to the food though. That is still a mystery I may never find the answer to. But we thirst, as much as a person in the desert for the first time. It even causes physical pain, which sucks more than the first Dracula.
I don't know how, or when, but I ended up in the backseat of a car. A very dark tinted car, as I sat up, I noticed that we were moving very fast down the streets of my town. (no offense but it would be better if you don't know where I am with them)
"We are almost there, Caius. Are you sure he will not be upset?" A new voice asked...I took a deep breath and quickly found the sweet scent of Caius in the passenger seat and a new, forest smell from the driver.
"He might, but princess will change his mind. He is a sucker for her."
"Isn't everybody?" they both laughed as I reached for the door handle. The driver cleared his throat and caught my eye in the rear view mirror. My hand pulled quickly back to place it over my still heart. "So she decided to join us. You sure did stay out for a while, I guess putting her in the car must have roused her."
"Yes, the shock must have been too much and it seemed like she fainted after we got away from the Gangrel Clan." the driver was silent as he turned his eyes back to the road. It was all silent as I sat up, it felt weird being in a car after such a long time. The last time I had been in one, I was with him....we were arguing. No, that's the human you. Let the animal take control.
"Home, sweet home." the driver murmured pulling into a garage.
"And just before the sunrise, you are too good, Charlie."
"If I hadn't been out on errands, you two would be stuck in some old abandoned building for the day." Charlie commented opening his door, Caius got out fluently and went to open the door for me. He offered me his hand to help me out but i ignored it and crawled awkwardly from the back seat. "Such a rebel."
I glared at him as he smirked at me, with one pat on the back for Caius, Charlie was gone. Caius went to the door and looked back at me as I stood as a statue.
"Come on, you don't want to stay in the garage all day do you?" I growled at him but followed him into the larger house. It was fantastic, everything so clean, perfect, and expensive. I was staring at the hundreds of paintings lining the walls, I didn't notice the little girl and the older gentleman waiting for us. Till Caius pulled me to a stop.
"My lord." he did a bow at the waist then smiled kindly at the girl. "Princess Mika."
She smiled brightly at us and turned her eyes onto me, before frowning. She looked at the older man and back at me.
"Why is she so frightened?" her voice was like an angel's, only to match her face and the blond curls hanging down past her chin. Caius went to explain but she held her hand up to stop him as she moved closer to me. "Why are you frightened?"
"She had a run in with Gangrel Clan." Caius answered as I remained silent. She glared at him, with the face that said was-I-asking-you. She looked back at me and I nodded.
"Don't worry, we will never let them hurt you." she held her soft, smooth looking hand toward me, and I placed mine in hers. "They can never hurt you, because you're one of us now. Welcome to the Lasombra Clan."
